Hive
Miel begins her life in the harmonious Realm of Light, a world of humanoid bees where she and all her sisters are interconnected together through a psychic web called The Hive. As newborn Queen of the Realm of Light, it is Miel’s duty to renew the genetic material of the hive through the laying of thousands of larvae.
Secretly however, she is beginning to feel that this may not be her true destiny. On her virgin mating flight, she flies too high and is pulled into a portal - dropping her, stranded in a strange tumultuous world - Earth.
Having felt a fracture in the barrier between realms, the Dual God-ess - Birth & Death sends a courier to find what has passed through. Birth & Death finds Queen Miel, the first Bee to ever be in this realm, and reveals to the Queen the state of the Earthly world — their daughters, the goddesses Winter and Spring are locked in a prideful struggle with the King of Men. Winter has wreaked havoc upon the land, and in concert with the vernal goddess Spring, has withheld her season, stalling the Earth on its chilled cusp.
In an attempt to reunite humans and gods, Birth & Death enlists the help of the human Queen, an accomplished weaver, to create a honeycomb, the first in this realm without bees, for Miel to lay her eggs in and continue her kind.

Alevary
Set in 1500s Europe, nineteen-year-old Abigail is pregnant with the illegitimate child of her rural parish’s newly ordained priest. After witnessing the sham “trial” and execution of her best friend, Abigail flees her native village to protect herself, her unborn child, and its father. While surviving in the forest she meets a local midwife named Oona who offers her lodging and an apprenticeship, as she settles into the community by day her nights are filled with vivid and sometimes prophetic dreams populated by dragons, shape shifters, ancient goddesses, talking hares, saints and demons.
Abigail’s new life takes a dark turn when a local farmer named Jeremy begins to harass her and Oona after learning of an abortion they performed for his wife. As Jeremy’s tactics worsen Abigail’s dreamscape is darkened by the presence of a horned demon named Asmoedus, who swears to pursue her and feed on her shame and that of the future women of her line. With the birth of her daughter fast approaching and the fear of Jeremy and Asmoedus sharp in her mind Abigail flees deeper into the forest where she finds a network of beehives in an ancient oak tree. Alone in the wilderness with the lessons she’s learned from the beings of her dreamscape she realizes that although living in a community can be scary, unpredictable and at times stifling, humans, like bees, need each other to thrive. Abigail now must harness the power within herself to defeat Asmoedus, stand up to Jeremy, and return to civilization.
